In celebration of the season, New Towne Mall is hosting Wishes & Wants, a free festive holiday event for families.
The event is new to the area and is sponsored by Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union.
It includes free activities like ornament making, caricatures, and “Reindeer Games.”
Officials say there will also be opportunities to give back with card making for the troops and a shoe drive hosted by Finish Line to benefit the Salvation Army.
Customers can donate a new or gently used pair of shoes in exchange for a discount at Finish Line.
Anywhere Tree Care will also bring their truck to the mall and seek toy donations with the aim to fill the truck for Toys for Tots. They are also sponsoring the Giving Tree located in the mall’s food court where toy donations may also be placed.
The event will be Saturday, December 2nd, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
