On Sunday, December 24th the Newsymom.com had the honor of serving the Stark County community through the annual ‘A Family Christmas Eve.’
The event welcomed families in need from across the county to the Martin Center in downtown Canton. There, families were given a hot meal with all the fixings.
They also had the opportunity to get haircuts, showers, their nails done and more.
The event featured thousands of donated items such as toothbrushes, coats and other clothing, food, blankets, toiletries, baby products etc. that families could gather based on their need.
Additionally, the event featured a special trip to the North Pole.
Thanks to generous donations from countless anonymous donors and Kohls, Newsymom.com was able to offer brand new books, stuffed animals, and toys to every child that came through the door and even those whose parents or grandparents were in attendance.
“The event was heartwarming, humbling and a true reminder of what the holiday season is truly about,” explained Newsymom.com founder Michaela Madison. “I’m a firm believer giving does more for the giver than the receiver. It was an honor to be a part of such a community-based effort to give back.”
