(Ohio) – Last week Ohio State Representative John Becker introduced new legislation that would prohibit abortions except those necessary to save the mother’s life.
If passed, the legislation would take effect only if the United States Supreme Court votes to overturn Roe vs. Wade. Eight other states across the country already have enacted similar pieces of legislation.
Over the last several years there have been nearly 20 pieces of legislation signed into law designed to ‘protect life and family’ in the Buckeye state and many abortion clinics have been shut down.
The Oath written by Hippocrates is one of the oldest binding documents in history and is considered sacred to physicians. It contains the phrase, “First, do no harm.” There is no word on when a vote is expected.
