According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, around 590,000 Dr. Brown’s Lovey pacifier and teether holders are being recalled due to a choking hazard.
The commission reports that snaps can detach from the product’s ribbons, leading to a choking hazard for young children.
67 people have reported the ribbons fraying and the snaps detaching, however, no injuries have been reported at this time.
The products were sold from August 2015 to March 2018 at various stores across the country including Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B Grocery, K-Mart, Target, Toys ‘R Us, Babies ‘R Us, Wal-Mart, and Amazon.com.
The holders come in eight different styles: Zebra, Turtle, Giraffe, Reindeer (Holiday Edition), Frog (Holiday Edition, Spring Bunny (Holiday Edition), Deer and Bunny.
Only the holders with the following lot codes printed on the tag attached to the product are included in this recall:

Customers who’ve purchased the products should immediately take them away from young children and contact Handi-Craft for further instruction on how to receive replacement products or comparable products of equal or lesser value.
