The latest recall report includes 1,300 mountain bikes with faulty brakes, twelve brands of biscuit dough and, bean bag chairs, toddler beds and over 45 million gallons of propane gas.
Food Recalls:
According to Safe Kids Worldwide, three recalls of food products more likely to be on a kid’s menu include Southern Home, Shur Fine, Valu Time and Nine Additional Brands of Biscuit Dough due to possible Listeria contamination; New Seasons Grab and Go Macaroni and Cheese due to undeclared egg; Swift Beef Co. Beef Stew Products due to a possible presence of metal and plastic pieces.

On January 2nd, 2018 Comfort Research recalled the Ultra Lounge bean bag chair covers because the zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened by children who can then crawl inside, become entrapped, suffocate or choke on the chair’s foam beads. 1,200 units are being recalled.

On December 21st, 2017 Rocky Mountain Bicycles recalled its 2018 Altitude, Instinct, and Pipeline mountain bicycles because the brake cable housing was not secured properly during manufacturing, which can cause brake failure, posing crash and injury hazards to the rider. 1.300 units are being recalled (An additional 1,800 were sold in Canada).
On December 22nd, 2017 Shoes for Crews recalled ACE Zeus work boots because the boos were wrongly advertised as puncture-resistant, posing an injury hazard. 4,300 units are being recalled.
On December 22nd, 2017 Vilo Home recalled Marseille dining benches because the foam seat cushion and base can crack in the middle and cause the bench to collapse, posing a fall hazard. 200 units are being recalled.
On December 28th, 2017 Western Gas recalled Propane (LP) as because the propane may not contain sufficient levels of odorant to help alert consumers to a gas leak. 45.7 million gallons are being recalled.
On December 28th, 2017 The Land of Nod recalled Nook toddler beds because the headboard can detach from the bed frame and fall onto the bed, posing an entrapment hazard to children. 70 units are being recalled.
On January 4th, 2018 HP recalled lithium-ion batteries for HP Notebook computers and mobile workstations because the batteries can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. 50,000 units are being recalled. (2,600 additional units were sold in Canada).
On January 4th, 2018 Sure Fit recalled its riding lawnmower spindle/shaft blade because the shaft can break during lawn mowing and broken blade pieces may become projectiles, posing a risk of impact injury to bystanders. 900 units are being recalled (an additional 75 were sold in Canada).
