(Ashland, Ohio) – You better watch out, you better not pout!
The holiday season is here and children can now send letters directly to the big guy himself! Santa’s Mailbox has returned to Ashland‘s Corner Park. This marks the second consecutive year for the mailbox. And it’s hard to miss. The bright red, magical mailbox was put in place over the weekend by the Coffy family, according to reports. The local family debuted the mailbox in 2019.
Children can now drop off letters to Santa now until December 21st. Those with legible return addresses will receive a response from Santa, Mrs. Claus, or the elves! Last year, more than 300 children and adults sent letters to the North Pole.
The expectation is at least 600 letters will be mailed this year. Volunteers from the Good Shepherd Senior Citizen Center, Ashland County Council on Aging, and Ashland University will help with writing letters and the mailbox will be emptied every evening.
