(U.S.) – “WAHOOOOO,” as Ms. Frizzle would say.
Let’s talk nostalgia! The Magic Schoolbus has seen significant success and many of us mommas remember sitting down and letting our imaginations soar as the show characters shrunk down to fly with the bees or took a quick trip to outer space before dinner. After seeing 26 years of bestselling books and episodic series with the most recent being The Magic School Bus Rides Again on Netflix, another adventure is planned big enough for the big screen!
Elizabeth Banks will star as the quirky, fun, and brilliant educator, Ms. Frizzle in the live-action/animation hybrid flick.
“We are delighted to bring to life the iconic Ms. Frizzle and her zest for knowledge and adventure in a fresh new way that inspires the next generation of kids to explore science and supports the dedicated teachers who help make science real and accessible for young learners every day,” Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese said in a press release.
A release date for the film has not yet been released, but more details are expected in the near future.
