Tuscarawas County JFS and Newsymom.com Launch Birthday Buddy Program

Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services is excited to announce a new program in partnership with Newsymom.com.

Beginning on Monday, January 15th, JFS will launch the Birthday Buddy program sponsored by Newsymom.com. The program is designed to remind every child currently in the custody of Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services that no matter what is going on in their lives, someone always cares.
“TCJFS is excited to partner with Newsymom.com to help educate the public,” said JFS Director, David Haverfield. “Their support of our foster youth is so vital, and we appreciate the organization’s efforts to help remind them that they are all of our children.”

JFS staff members will work closely with the website to distribute birthday cards throughout the year. Each card will include a personalized message to the child and JFS staff members will mail the cards to maintain confidentiality.
The idea for the program was brought to the attention of Haverfield by Newsymom.com Founder and Executive Director, Michaela Madison.
“The heart of our mission is to serve both parents and children and in discussing how we can accomplish that the Birthday Buddy Program was born,” explained Madison. “Children are our future and it is our job as parents and community leaders to maintain the integrity and innocence of their childhood.”
The Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services’ Birthday Buddy program will be fully funded by Newsymom.com.
Additionally, Tuscarawas County JFS will provide featured articles monthly that will be exclusively published on Newsymom.com in the continuing effort to inform and educate.
Newsymom.com was founded in August 2016 by Michaela Madison. The organization started as an idea of a mother on maternity leave and thanks to the passion and dedication of every team member, has grown to include local news, information, education, advice, real and relatable editorials and more.
“Not only do we strive to inform and educate mothers, but we have set out to create a community of mothers from all backgrounds, lifestyles, ethnicities, religions and parenting approaches that prove despite differences we can lean on and learn from one another,” Madison added. “We all have a common goal in that we are doing our best to raise the next generation and we are hopeful our children will make positive contributions to the future.”
Newsymom.com publishes news and information directly affecting parents and kids locally in Stark and Tuscarawas Counties.
