Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are sharing their ‘hack’ with all parents trying to teach their kids at home!
Should Ashton Kutcher’s acting career fall short, it looks like he could fall back on a career in teaching! Now, let’s be honest, the actor-producer-entrepreneur, likely won’t need a plan ‘B,’ but he seems to have a knack for this whole teaching thing saying, “I like me some teaching,” when he and wife Mila sat down with Jimmy Fallon.
The superstar parents chatted with Jimmy about what they’ve been up to since they’ve been isolating at home and it sounds like they have it all figured out when it comes to homeschooling their two kids – 5-year-old daughter Wyatt and 3-year-old son Dimitri.
In addition to educational videos on the iPad and a plentiful supply of pretzels, the couple let us all in on another little secret!
Mila admitted her role is more like a teacher’s assistant. “I’m a fantastic TA. I’m a professional TA,” she said. She gave all the ‘headteacher’ credit to hubby, Ashton. “We set up a curriculum for the week and figure out what the kids are going to learn throughout the week,” he explained.
A few things the family-ed team has tackled so far include electricity, energy, and even architecture. But, they did share a hack for their fellow parents doing their best with the whole teaching thing. “We enlisted our friends to do 20-minute Zoom sessions with our kids, and they can teach them anything,” Mila added. Some of the lessons from their friends have been baking cookies and making flower arrangements. They said this gives them 20 minutes of no-parenting and shakes up the learning a bit for their kids.
