A Virtual Wine-Tasting and Fundraiser to Benefit TWC and Local Businesses

The Wilderness Center is inviting the public to celebrate the unofficial start to summer with “A Night in for Nature: Bubbles & Botany.”

This is a virtual tasting and fundraiser that will take place in the comfort (& safety) of your own home on Saturday, May 30th.

Participants will enjoy a bottle of Brut Rose, a sparkling, pinot noir-based wine from M Cellars, and delicious treats from Ohio City Provisions while relaxing at home for a Zoom presentation “Plants & the Making of America” by senior naturalist, Carrie Elvey. Representatives from M Cellars, Ohio City Provisions and Wholesome Valley Farm will be present to introduce the edible components of the evening.

The accompanying charcuterie and cheese selection will include house-made crackers, Manhattan cherry preserves, tomato bacon jam, and a triple creme guernsey milk “brie style” from Marchant Manor (Beach City) and an aged raw milk cheddar from Ayrshire Cows from Old Forge Dairy (Kent) as well as an assortment of cured meats that will be introduced during the live the video chat.

There will be a $75 “admission fee” and proceeds will support The Wilderness Center and local food and wine producers and will include a treat bag to be picked up at Wholesome Valley Farms in Wilmot, Local Roots in Wooster or Ohio City Provisions in Cleveland.  Or, for $90, the event officials will deliver treat bags within the Canton/Massillon area!  Pick-ups and deliveries will take place on Friday, May 29th, and Saturday, May 30th.

Please provide an email address during registration so officials may contact you to arrange pick-up/ delivery and provide some technical information about joining the video get together.  There will be opportunities for questions, answers, and participation.
