Akron Children’s Hospital’s nurse residency program receives accreditation with distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

ANCC accreditation is a voluntary review process intended to strengthen and sustain the quality and integrity of practice transition programs. Akron Children’s chose to apply for ANCC accredited status and agrees to abide by global standards established by ANCC.

“ANCC deems our RN residency program of the highest quality and worthy of public confidence,” said Nancy Mosca, director of nursing professional practice at Akron Children’s. “Applying for and receiving this accreditation means we take continuous improvement seriously and are committed to quality practice transition education for nurses.”
