What a Jolly July as Christmas on the Lake continues to Spread Cheer!

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) is spreading Christmas Cheer inJuly!

There are amazing opportunities to experience pure merriment and joy with the family during the last 2 weekends in July!  Have the children been naughty or nice- let this remind them to make good choices.

Friday, July 22

4-7 pm Traveling Program Golf Cart & Craft – Watch for the golf cart traveling through the camp areas with fun nature items. They will be passing out a fun craft kit!

9-11 pm Movie at the Lake: Encanto – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch “Encanto” on the
BIG screen! The movie is rated PG and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car.
Please park vehicles towards the back.

Saturday, July 23

9-10 am Breakfast with Santa – Enjoy pancakes, sausage, and a drink provided by Figgy’s Campstore. $4 per person at the Activity Center. Santa will be available for pictures, bring your own camera.

11am-12pm Christmas Craft for Adults – Create terracotta Christmas Trees at the Activity Center! While supplies last.
1-2 pm Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids – Explore the Nature Center and make a snowflake ornament.
2 pm Wagon Ride Ticket Sales – Tickets will be sold inside the Activity Center. Tickets are $0.50 each and limit of 4 tickets per person in line. Children 3 and under are free but must have a ticket to ride. Tickets are limited
and are sold on a ‘’first come-first serve” basis. Limit 20 people per ride.

3 pm Traveling Santa Watch for the activity golf cart with Santa traveling through the campground! Bring your own camera for photos.

6-7 pm Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
8 pm Golf Cart Parade – Meet at the beach to line up and then head out at 8:30pm!
8-11 pm Wagon Rides – Meet at the sports courts 15 minutes prior to your ticket time. Must have ticket to ride.
8-11 pm LIVE Music: SB Music – Hang out at the sports courts and enjoy live music from the band!

1 pm Tappan Recycling – Have your aluminum cans by lot post by 1pm! 

Friday, July 29

6-7pm Kids BINGO – Meet at the Activity Center and try your luck at a fun evening of BINGO. Bring a candy bar.
7-8pm Adult BINGO – Meet in front of the Activity Center and try your luck at a fun evening of BINGO. Bring a $2 gift.

Saturday, July 30

11am-3pm Car Show at the Beach – Stop by the beach to take a look at all of the vehicles in the show and vote for your favorite! Enjoy live entertainment and DJ music. First 50 registered vehicles will receive a dash plaque.
$10 per vehicle. Trophies will be given for People’s Choice, Best of Show, and Kid’s Choice.

2-4pm Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids – Explore the Nature Center and make a beaded snake craft to have for the reptile show.

5-6 pm LIVE Reptiles & Illusions Show – Meet behind the Nature Center for an amazing magic show with live animals!

7-8:30 pm Family Campfire – Meet on the patio of the Activity Center for a fun time around the fire with games and a delicious campfire dessert.

Thursday, July 21

10 am-3 pm Outdoor Adventure Mini Camp – Enjoy a camp for kids ages 8-14, to kayak, hike, cook over the campfire, play games, and go fishing! Cost includes one car pass, all equipment & instruction,
plus an unforgettable camp experience. Registration required at https://MWCD.ticketleap.com.

Friday, July 22

5-8 pm Traveling Program Golf Cart & Craft – Look for our traveling program staff on a golf cart stopping at campsites with fun craft kits!!

Saturday, July 23

12-1 pm Snowball Fight – Meet at the grass near Activity Center to make “snow” and have a snowball fight!

Be prepared to get messy!

2-5 pm Traveling Santa – Watch for the MWCD golf cart with Santa traveling through the campground! Bring your own camera for photos!

6-7 pm Christmas Craft for All Ages – Make fun decorations from terra cotta pots at the Activity Center.

7 pm Ugly T-shirt Contest (Park Side) – Create your own ugly Christmas t-shirt and meet at the sports court area. Prize for the ugliest Christmas t-shirt!

9-11 pm Movie at the Lake: Elf – Watch “Elf” (PG) on the BIG screen! Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the grassy area beside the Activity Center. You may also watch from your golf cart or car from the parking lot

Friday, July 29

5-8 pm Car Cruise-in at the Lake – Bring your car, truck, or other vehicle to lake and hang out at the Cruise-In. Meet at the gravel parking across from activity center. Food will be available for purchase at Kathy’s Camp Store. DJ Spikeman will be there to provide music as you look at the cars that will
be at our park. $10 per car, includes dash plaque for first 50 cars!

Saturday, July 30

10-11 am Yoga at the Beach – Join Be Yoga Studios for a relaxing yoga session on the beach! All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat or beach towel. Suggested donation of $5-10 per person. Admission into the lake is free when you mention the yoga event at the gate.

3-4pm Ice Cream Social – Stop by the shelter near the Activity Center Shelter to enjoy a sweet treat! While supplies last.

5-7 pm Nature Center Open & Craft for All Ages – Explore the Nature Center and make a coaster craft.

8pm Guided Sunset Hike – Hike the Woodland Trail at sunset! Meet at the Woodland Trailhead near the Welcome Center. Be prepared for moderate to strenuous inclines by wearing sneakers or hiking boots/shoes.

9-11 am Breakfast with Santa & Ugly T-shirt Contest (Park Side) – Enjoy a pancake breakfast with Santa at Park Side Shelter #3. Bring a camera for photos! Create your own ugly Christmas t-shirt and wear it to breakfast. Prize for the ugliest Christmas t-shirt!

12-1 pm Ornament Craft for Adults (Park Side) – Create a Christmas ornament from seashells at Park Side Shelter #1!

2-3 pm Ice Excavation & Snowball Fight (Park Side) – Stop by the beach to excavate through giant ice cubes, if you’re lucky, you may unveil a prize inside the ice! Afterward create “snow” and have a “snowball” fight!

4-5 pm Ice Excavation & Snowball Fight (Marina Point) – Meet at Marina Point Shelter #2 to excavate through giant ice cubes, if you’re lucky, you may unveil a prize inside the ice! Afterwards create “snow” and have a “snowball” fight!

5-6 pm Snowflake Craft for Kids (Marina Point) – Join us at Marina Point Shelter #2 and create a snowflake craft.
Saturday, July 24
1-4 pm Poker Paddle – Paddle around Seneca Lake to find seven poker stops and collect cards to compete for the best poker hand! Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards welcome. Prizes will be awarded for the best and worst poker hands. Grand prize is a FREE kayak!! Registration is required at https://mwcd.ticketleap.com

10-11 am Morning Nature Hike (Park Side) – Take a guided hike with the Naturalist! Meet at Park Side Shelter #2 to go
on a half-mile hike through the woods and explore nature. Be prepared for natural surface trails by wearing sneakers or hiking shoes/boots.

12-1 pm Firefly Craft for Kids (Marina Point) – Make a firefly craft at Marina Point Shelter #2!

2-3 pm LIVE Animal Show with Ohio Wildlife Center (Park Side) – Meet native Ohio Wildlife at Park Side Shelter #2 The Ohio Wildlife Center will introduce you to their wild Animal Ambassadors, the history of Ohio’s native wildlife, and how we can coexist with wildlife.

4-5 pm Adult BINGO (Marina Point) – Try your luck at a few rounds of BINGO Marina Point Shelter #2! Bring a $2 prize to throw into our array of prizes available. Open to ages 18+.

6 pm Cornhole Tournament (Marina Point) – Teams of two Registration required at https://MWCD.ticketleap.com by July 29. Prizes for the top team. Meet at the cornhole area near the basketball court.

9-11 pm Movie at the Lake: Jungle Cruise – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach parking area to watch “Jungle Cruise” on the BIG screen. The movie is rated PG-13. You may also watch from your golf cart or car.

Responsible stewards dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, conservation and recreation in the Muskingum River Watershed. The MWCD is the largest conservancy district in the state and led the effort to construct 14 dams and reservoirs. The MWCD has jurisdiction for its operations in all or portions of an 18-county area. The 18 counties wholly or partially contained in the MWCD jurisdiction are Ashland, Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Harrison, Knox, Licking, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, Wayne, and Washington.
