Dental care is often something that can be easily neglected in the younger years, but everyone needs those pearly whites. Tooth decay is the number one leading chronic illness in America. What issues can happen to children’s teeth?
  • Dental cavities are one of the most common chronic diseases in children and teens. Cavities are caused by a breakdown of the tooth enamel by acids produced by bacteria located in a film that collects on teeth.
  • For children aged 12 to 19, more than half (57%) have had a cavity in their permanent teeth.
  • Cavities (tooth decay) can spread to the gums.

  • Brush teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
