(Strasburg, Ohio) – The Lynn Drive-In is now open for the season while practicing COVID-19 precautions.
Because people will be watching movies from their cars, officials have indicated the drive-in theatre already complies with social distancing guidelines. Drive-in movie theaters have been exempted from coronavirus-related shutdowns per communication from Governor Mike DeWine.
Cars will be parked in every other space in order to allow for approximately 20 feet between each vehicle. This move will cut the capacity in half for the drive-in. Those in pickup trucks and SUVs will be permitted to watch movies in the bed of the truck or with the SUV hatch open, but those in other vehicles are asked to remain in their vehicles while watching the movies. No lawn chairs or blankets will be permitted in the grass.
The concession stand will have one door and employees are required to wear gloves and masks, and customers will be kept six feet apart in line. Customers will also be encouraged to wear masks when inside of the building.
Also, the drive-in’s permanent restrooms will be open and portable toilets have also been installed.
