(North Canton, Ohio) – The investigation into a school shooting threat continues.
The North Canton Police Department in assistance with the Canton Prosecutor’s Office is announcing a development in the case involving a school shooting threat against Hoover High School over the weekend.
Investigators say in cooperation with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI a search warrant was served at an address in Lake Township. Officials say several electronic devices were seized. No firearms were found or stated to have been kept at the residence.
A juvenile suspect was identified and is not reportedly a student at North Canton City School district. Police add that the family cooperated with the investigation and the child remains in their custody.
Officials add they are working closely with the Juvenile Division of the Stark County Prosecutors Office regarding charges including one county of aggravated menacing, and one county of inducing panic.
