(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The local organization, Newsymom LLC is inviting moms in need of a de-stressor and relaxing day just for them to attend the upcoming ‘Finding Peace in Nature’ Newsymom Meetup.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Norma Johnson Center. Attendees will enjoy a relaxing, beginners-level hike that will last roughly 30 minutes. Hikers will then return to the starting point near the iconic red barn on the Norma Johnson Center property where they will participate in a calming 30-minute beginners-level yoga session.
“The last couple of months have been stressful and we just want to give every mom out there the opportunity to let go of some of that weight, focus on herself for a couple of hours and de-stress,” explained Newsymom Founder and Executive Director, Michaela Madison. “Newsymom Meetups are designed to bring mothers together to ensure every mother has a support system she can count on.”
The hike and yoga session will be led by independent yoga instructor, Beth Hill. Due to ongoing COVID-19 precautions, yoga mats and other supplies will not be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own if they wish. The yoga session will be designed in a way to keep participants off the ground as much as possible.
Additionally, masks will not be required as this is a small, outdoor event, but attendees are welcome to wear a mask if they choose. The event will be limited to 10 participants to continue to follow state guidelines and restrictions on gatherings. To register for the event, visit the ‘events’ page at Newsymom.com.
