(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – New Philadelphia City Schools will continue to distribute meals throughout the month of June.
Like many districts across the state, New Philadelphia City Schools has been distributing meals and snacks to students since schools were closed due to COVID-19 back in mid-March. The school district took to Facebook this week to announce meals will continue through June despite the ‘official’ start of summer vacation.
School administrators indicated meal distribution dates will be:
Tuesday, June 2nd
Tuesday, June 9th
Tuesday, June 16th
Tuesday, June 23rd
Additionally, the time for meal bundle pickup throughout the month of June will be from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 pm. only. Officials added that meals may be picked up through the district’s drive-thru puck up at Welty Middle School for any child up to the age of 18. Children also do not need to be present to pick up meals.
