If your resolutions for 2023 revolve around moving your body and getting outside more, the MWCD has you covered. Take a hike or bike ride along one of their many trails. Take a boat out on the lake and learn to water ski! Go for a swim! Take advantage of group events offered throughout the year.  

The MWCD has ten lakes to explore. Plan a solo trip or family vacation to one of their many campgrounds this year! You can swim, boat, hike, fish, and more! Visit their website for more information about exploring the lakes and unlocking new adventures outside.

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is responsible stewards dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, conservation, and recreation in the Muskingum River Watershed. The MWCD is the largest conservancy district in the state and led the effort to construct 14 dams and reservoirs. The MWCD has jurisdiction for its operations in all or portions of an 18-county area. The 18 counties wholly or partially contained in the MWCD jurisdiction are Ashland, Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Harrison, Knox, Licking, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, Wayne, and Washington.
