Families are invited to celebrate the beginning of the new school year! Guests are encouraged to donate supplies through August 27
With Back-to-School season approaching, New Towne Mall, Newsymom, and MK Events are helping guests prepare for the new school year while supporting the local community students and educators.
“We are thrilled to help students and families kick off the new academic year,” said Tori Noah, General
Manager of New Towne Mall. “Thanks to our diverse mix of tenants, New Towne Mall is the place to find
everything you need for Back-to-School, especially during Tax-Free Weekend, August 4-6. Our 2023 Tusc
for Teacher Supply Drive and The Wrap-Up Party event is perfect for students to end the summer and
build excitement for the school year. And, as part of our commitment to being a good neighbor in the
community, we’re proud to help ensure every student and teacher has what they need to succeed
through our Teacher Supply Drive, in partnership with Newsymom and MK Events.”
New Towne Mall is doing its part to ensure every student and teacher is prepared for the new school
year through a school supply drive teaming up with Newsymom and MK Events. Students and parents
are encouraged to donate supplies to benefit local teachers and students from August 1-27. Guests are
encouraged to bring supplies to the drop-off bin at the center court near the fountain. Community
members can see a complete supply list by visiting Newsymom.com/tuscforteachers or
newtownemall.com.
“We are so excited to team up with New Towne Mall and MK Events again this year to support our local
teachers,” added Michaela Thomas, Newsymom Executive Director. “Our teachers have an incredible
impact on our children every school year, and we want to ensure they know how much they are
appreciated.”
Following the completion of the drive on August 27, there will be a wrap-up party to celebrate our
teachers from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The community is invited to join us for the celebration kickoff at
2:00 p.m. with the Michael Mage Magic Show, free to the public! This will also be an excellent
opportunity for teachers to stop by and collect necessary supplies. After the event, any remaining
supplies will be available for any local teacher in need.
