A Stark County, Ohio event will offer free child safety kits and other related information.
On June 2nd the community I invited to Child Safety Day at J. Michael Insurance, 1204 N. Main Street in North Canton.
Parents who attend will receive a free child safety kit, including their child’s digital fingerprints and photograph, along with safety information and tips.
Officials say Operation KidSafe also captures the children’s picture and fingerprints using a digital video device, digital inkless fingerprint capture device and specialized software.
The data is then assembled in a letter-sized printout that is given to the parent and no data is retained.
Food and activities will also be featured at the event, which will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
