Performing Arts Center Announces Rescheduled Performances

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The Performing Arts Center is following Kent State University’s coronavirus (COVID-19) preventative and proactive actions by rescheduling or canceling all events through April 12.

We are following recommendations from state health authorities to limit large gatherings and practice social distancing to slow transmission of the virus. We take these steps to ensure the health and safety of our patrons and to be proactive in an effort to prevent illness.

The following events have been rescheduled:

  • That Golden Girls Show: a puppet parody – Sunday, April 19 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Llama Llama Live – Sunday, May 3 – 4:30 p.m.
  • An American in Paris – Tuesday, May 26 – 7:30 p.m.

Current ticket holders will be able to use their existing tickets for these rescheduled dates. If you are unable to attend these new dates, please contact the box office via phone or email for options at 330.308.6400 or PerformingArtsCenter@kent.edu. The box office will not be open for in-person customer interaction during this time.

The following events have been canceled:

  • A Cappella Live scheduled for March 18
  • Wild Carrot scheduled for March 21
  • The Tuscarawas Philharmonic’s concert Different Drums scheduled for April 4

A full refund will be issued to all ticket holders for the canceled events.

Kent State University will continue to monitor the outbreak and will align its recommendations with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization and other city, state and federal agencies.
