Together, nearly 140 Hall of Famers will be represented throughout the celebration that centers around the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, August 4th. The list of Gold Jackets, a term used for living Hall of Famers, expected to participate in the festivities also includes Dick Butkus, Paul Warfield, Emmitt Smith, Joe Greene, Derrick Brooks, Cris Carter, Sonny Jurgensen, Bruce Smith, Shannon Sharpe, Jerome Bettis, Jerry Jones, Dan Foutes, Claude Humphrey, Paul Hornung, Terrell Davis, Art Monk, Bob Lilly, Dan Marino, and Jonathan Ogden.
Officials added that family members of Hall of Famers who have passed such as Buck Buchanan, Deacon Jones, and Bronko Nagurski, will also be on hand for the celebration.
“It is extraordinary that our Hall of Famers return in such great numbers to help celebrate this great game in the place where it began,” explained Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker. “Their participation in Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls makes this one of the most spectacular events in all of sports.
