School Board Member Resigns to Take City Council Seat

The Canton City School District Board of Education is announcing the resignation of member Corey Minor Smith.

Officials noted in a press release that Minor Smith has resigned to take on her new duties as Canton City Councilwoman.

The Canton City School District is now seeking applicants to fill the vacancy.

Officials are accepting letters of interest, resumes, and applications from qualified individuals who reside in the Canton City School District.

Interested candidates should also submit to a BCI/FBI background check.

Officials note applications can be obtained at the Treasurer’s Office, by calling 330-438-2509 or by email at gruber_j@ccsdistrict.org.

Letters of interest, resume and applications should be submitted to District Treasurer Jeff Gruber by 4:00 p.m. January 10th, 2018 and can be mailed or emailed to gruber_j@ccsdistrict.org.
