“He loves police officers.”
Last week, Sarah Alton of Massillon shared a photo of her 2-year-old son Xavier in front of a Stark County Sheriff’s Cruiser during an earlier event.
She explained her son’s love for law enforcement. When Stark County Sheriff George T. Maier caught wind of this, he just had to meet, potentially, the future deputy.
Sheriff Maier truly connected with Xaiver. The moment the little boy saw the Sheriff, his eyes lit up and he ran right for him.
Maier sat down and talked with Xaiver, gave him coloring books and other keepsakes including his very own Stark County Sheriff’s Office badge!
Without hesitation Xavier took Sheriff Maier by the hand as they walked outside to a cruiser Sheriff Maier had set up just for Xavier.
The toddler ran right to the cruiser, eager to get inside and take a look!
Sheriff Maier lifted him up and told him about the different pieces and parts. He even let Xaiver flip the sirens on (a few times) himself!
Xavier seemed to be all smiles and full of excitement throughout the one-on-one with Stark County’s Sheriff.
In the end, Sarah took to Facebook to once again to share her appreciation for the Sheriff taking the time to go above and beyond to connect with her son.
She noted, he is STILL talking about the visit!
