Summer vacations were always one of my favorite family activities. Traveling with kids as a parent can be a whole new adventure. The chaos, planning, and the entire trip can be exhausting to say the least, especially when you are a busy mom! Here are a few simple travel tips to stay organized when preparing for your next family vacation.
Create a master packing list that you can save and use year to year with items that you consistently use when you are on vacation. This will cut down on items that you forget to pack, saving you time and money once you reach your destination.
Tablets are great to keep the kids entertained when traveling, but lack of WIFI can be a big problem. If you don’t have access to the internet while traveling, be sure to test the kids tablets in airplane mode. There are many games that work without internet access. Consider packing activities that don’t require technology to work. Kids love scavenger hunts,
Keep a basket of frequently used items and snacks within reach of your kids so you aren’t constantly having to reach back to give them things.
Accidents happen and kids get sick. Keep a spare change of clothes, wipes, and paper towels easily accessible so if the worst happens, you are prepared.
Maximize your space when packing
Remember space saving bags? Well, they are back and are so convenient to use. Linens and towels can take up a ton of space when packing for a beach vacation. Use these to save valuable space in your trunk.
Relax and have fun!
Traveling as a family can be stressful and chaotic, but remember to slow down, relax, and embrace the adventure. The memories you create are priceless.
