Stark County School Levy Results

Stark County voters turnout to show support for school district levies.

Voters turned down a levy request from Tuslaw Local Schools with 58% against the levy. The 7.3-mill, 5-year emergency levy would have generated roughly $1.5 million annually. Last spring voters turned down the same request by 39 votes.

Alliance City Schools saw voter support on Tuesday, May 8th with 63% of voters turning out to support the district’s levy.

A victory by a slim margin for North Canton City Schools with 51% voting in favor of the district’s levy and 49% turning it down. The levy is expected to generate $4.98 million a year for the district.

A landslide victory for the Perry Local School district with 72% of voters showing support for the levy. For the fifth time since 1996, voters approved the 11.7-mill emergency levy, which is expected to generate a total revenue for the district of about $8,041,569.
