(Dover, Ohio) – Parents and caregivers of local school athletes are invited to make an appointment to participate in the Tuscarawas County Health Department’s special Sports Physical Days.
Physicals will be held on Monday, June 15th from 10:15 am to 3 pm, and Wednesday, July 1st from 10 am to 2 pm. During these special days, sports physicals will be provided for $30, payable by cash, check, debit, or credit card.
Appointments can be made by calling 330-343-5555, extension 134, 174, or 181. During the sports physical days, immunizations will also be offered at an additional charge. Those who wish to receive immunizations are asked to call for more information. Those who would like to bill their insurance for sports physicals may call to schedule a sports physical on an alternate date.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, all visitors to the health department will be screened for symptoms, and those who are sick will be asked to reschedule their appointment and stay home. Also, to avoid unnecessary crowding in waiting areas, it is asked that only one parent or guardian attend the sports physical appointment with the athlete.
“Our Medical Clinic Services team is looking forward to helping local athletes get their required physicals so that they can safely participate in school sports events,” noted Angie Frantz of the Tuscarawas County Health Department. “We are following safety protocols to protect all of our patients and visitors.”
