When it comes to family fun- Seneca Lake Park has the perfect backdrop for Family Memory Making!  From the friendly staff who help keep the park clean, safe and full of exciting events, to the relaxing peace nature provides- this is family bonding at its finest!

  • Perhaps your family is adventurous!  Desiring to load up a tent to camp outdoors, bike and explore nature on the trails.

  • Perhaps your family is more contemplative and enjoys fishing or time on the shore at the beach.

  • Perhaps your family is thrill-seeking and would love to rent a boat and hike while geocaching.

  • Perhaps your family is into glamping and would enjoy eating dinner at the Dockside Restaurant and sleeping in a cabin rental.

The opportunities for bonding experiences are plentiful!

Each week there is programming the family can participate in!  Check out June 24-25th’s weekend events:

Friday, June 24

9-10:30am  Coffee & Donuts (Park Side) – Enjoy a morning of free coffee and donuts at Park Side Shelter #2. First come, first served.

4-9pm          Traveling Program Wagon (Park Side & Marina Point) – Look for our traveling program staff and the wagon full fun as they travel through the camp areas stopping at campsites with fun nature games and information. You may even win a prize!!

Saturday, June 25

10-11am    Wind Chime Craft (Marina Point) – Make a decorative windchime for your campsite or take it home! Meet at Marina Point Shelter #2.

12-2pm      Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids (Park Side) – Check out the nature center and speak with our naturalist to learn about animals that call Seneca Lake their home. Meet at the Log Cabin.

3-5pm        Carnival Water Games (Park Side) – Meet at the beach for fun carnival-style water games and see if you have what it takes to win!

6-7pm        Adult BINGO (Marina Point) – Try your luck at a few rounds of BINGO Marina Point Shelter #2! Bring a $2 prize to throw into our array of prizes available. Open to ages 18+.

9-11pm        Movie at the Lake (Park Side) – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach parking area to watch a movie on the BIG screen. The movie is rated PG-13. You may also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back. See flyer at the park for movie title.

 
  • Take a look at the Trail Map and notice variety in length of trails, points of interest, and which ones are bike paths.

Boating is extremely popular at Seneca Lake.  With the 399 horsepower limit and 3,550 acres of water!  Ski boats, sail boats, pontoons, canoes/kayaks, and jet skis are among these various watercraft that share the water on the 3rd largest inland lake in Ohio.5

Responsible stewards dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, conservation and recreation in the Muskingum River Watershed. The MWCD is the largest conservancy district in the state and led the effort to construct 14 dams and reservoirs. The MWCD has jurisdiction for its operations in all or portions of an 18-county area. The 18 counties wholly or partially contained in the MWCD jurisdiction are Ashland, Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Harrison, Knox, Licking, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, Wayne, and Washington.
