Event #1: Paddle Skedaddle
When: July 23, 2022, 10a-2p
Where: Walborn Reservoir in Alliance
Join Stark Parks at Walborn Reservoir to test the waters with canoes, kayaks, and Stand Up Paddleboards. During this free event, participants will receive a brief introduction on shore, then given an opportunity to try paddling on the water for a short period of time. It’s the best time to introduce your kids to water activities, with safety and education a top priority!
Tips to have the best time ever:
- Wear closed-toed shoes and expect to get wet! (Bring sunscreen & bug spray, too!)
- Boats are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Solo Kayaking Guidelines: Must be 10 years or older to paddle solo.
- Tandem Kayaks and Canoes Guidelines: Two adults and one child maximum per boat, children 8 and under require two paddling adults in boat, at least one paddler must be 15 years old.
Concessions will be available for purchase if you and the kiddos need to grab a snack on the go!
