It’s time to send kids back to school and New Towne Mall in New Philadelphia is hosting a full series with that in mind.
“We’re thrilled to offer opportunities for families to find everything they need to return to school and have fun while they’re at it,” New Towne Mall General Manager Jason Jordan said in a press release. “New Towne Mall is the perfect one-stop shopping destination and a great place to enjoy time with your family.”
It all starts on Saturday, August 5th with the Back-to-School Bash.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., New Towne Mall will be celebrating the Tax-Free weekend with a special event for families featuring free activities, a fall fashion show highlighting this season’s latest trends and pet adoption event with the Tuscarawas County Humane Society.
The Back-to-School Bash will also feature a Doggie & Me fashion show sponsored by local pet store Petz Place.
Kids and their pooches are invited to prance down the runway wearing your best look for the chance to win a prize.

Then on Tuesday, August 8th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., local cheerleaders and Lavender Bridal will host the Spirit Rally as they showcase new dance and cheer routines.
Attendees will also enjoy a fashion show brought to you by event sponsor, Lavender Bridal. They will highlight the latest formal and evening wear looks just in time for Homecoming.
