(Perry Township, Ohio) – Area children are getting the opportunity to be a “Ranger for a Day.”
Stark Parks is inviting families to participate in the event on Saturday, September 22nd at Exploration Gateway at Sippo Lake Park-North, 5712 12th Street NW.
Participants will get to search for clues in a scavenger hunt mystery, climb in ranger vehicles, try on a real ballistics vest and uniform, take a shot in the shooting range, complete an obstacle course and receive a special badge.
Stations will also be set up for finger printing by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
Everyone can enter for chances to win his or her very own K-9 ranger stuffed animal in a raffle to support the Ranger Cadet Program. K-9 Ranger, Gunnar, will demonstrate his skills at 3 p.m. Food and snacks will be available for purchase. The event is free. No registration required.
Officials add there is no registration required for the free event.
