Visit the Enchanted Forest at The Wilderness Center

(WILMOT, OH) – On October 6 and 7, 2023, the trails of The Wilderness Center (TWC) will be transformed into The Enchanted Forest! Enchanted Forest is a very popular, entertaining, and educational fall program that takes place on TWC’s trails. Costumed characters use stories, rhymes, and songs, to teach families about the importance of different nocturnal animals in our ecosystem.

A friendly Firefly with a lantern leads visitors into the forest on a trail lined with glowing jack-o-lanterns. Along the way, the group meets costumed volunteers such as Flying Squirrel, Coyote, Mole, Turtle, Caterpillar, and Bat. These friendly characters sing, tell jokes, and share stories of life in the woodlands. The Enchanted Forest is a fall tradition for families throughout the region who create lasting memories together while learning about conservation and connecting with nature in a unique setting.

TWC offers evening timeslots for Enchanted Forest on Friday, October 6, and afternoon and evening timeslots on Saturday, October 7. Following this 45-minute walk, families can enjoy refreshments and, weather permitting, are welcome to Star Watch with the Astronomy Club. Children and adults are welcome to wear non-scary costumes.

Tickets are $10 per person and are available online. Advance registration for this popular event is required. Visit http://www.WildernessCenter.org or call (330) 359-5235 to register for this engaging program! The Wilderness Center is located at 9877 Alabama Ave. SW Wilmot, OH 44689.
