The grant program called Partners in Watershed Management (PWM) provides maintenance assessment funds to assist local organizations to implement water quality projects, flood reduction and mitigation programs, and watershed education efforts throughout the 18 counties.

These eleven organizations were granted about $1.4 million in funds to implement their projects to protect citizens within the MWCD. Since the program started in 2009, 156 projects have been funded through a whopping $10.7 million in grants.
