Community Action Aimed at New Mothers: SCCAA

The Stark County Community Action Agency is a non-profit anti-poverty organization in Stark County… but what do they do?

This informational campaign comes to you in partnership with the Stark County Community Action Agency.

The SCCAA helps to improve the lives of over 20,000 individuals annually. According to their website, 13.2% of local people live in poverty and 5.6% of children under 5 live in poverty in Stark County. With this in mind, the SCCAA works to “promote economic self-sufficiency among low-income families and individuals of Stark County.”

How does SCCAA help new moms and pregnant women?

Community Action Pathways HUB

The Community Actions Pathway HUB is a free program designed just for expecting mothers and new moms in Stark County. The HUB can assist with transportation, supplies, and medical services. Recently, the program hosted a community baby shower and provided mothers with supplies and education for their parenting journeys ahead.
