In May of 2020, student workers like Maria Feik, the ALC equipment lab tech, had been coordinating the ALC efforts to get supplies to the students while also running a 3D printer from her home. Annie Quan, an ALC/Makerspace student worker, made 3D face shields, running two printers from her home. Joe Puckett, an ALC/Makerspace student worker, has also been printing 3D shields and creating kits to go to area health care workers. Paul Anderegg, an ALC student worker, has been putting together kits for the 3D-printed shields to be distributed throughout the community from KSU Tusc and from Buckeye Career Center. Thank you to the ALC staff and student workers who have taken on this life-saving project!
